Solly Lipsitz was instrumental in introducing jazz and blues to Belfast through his record shop Atlantic Records. Late last year I decided I would like to interview Solly about his life as a musician, jazz enthusiast and record shop owner. Solly passed away on Saturday 30th March at the age of 92. Solly was a family friend of my mother, father and uncle, he'll be sadly missed by many. My heartfelt condolences go out to Anne and the family circle.
