The Van Morrison Official Rhythm and Blues Foundation

Lockdown Financial Hardship Fund

Due to overwhelming demand, phase one of the Lockdown Financial Hardship Fund is now closed. We want to reassure musicians that we plan to open phase two early in 2021 and that we are working hard to lobby for the support required over the coming months. We would urge everyone to keep an eye on our social channels for further updates.

The Lockdown Financial Hardship Fund has been established as an emergency fund for musicians who are facing financial hardship as a direct result of the government restrictions on live music introduced in March 2020. Single time grants of £500 will be provided to successful applicants. Proceeds from Van Morrison’s three anti-lockdown singles Born To Be Free, As I Walked Out and No More Lockdown will contribute to the fund.
